In another instance of major operation against illegal structures, the Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has pulled down a five-storey structure being raised on a government land in Miyapur.

Permissions for construction of the building were obtained on survey numbers 337 and 338 in Ameenpur, but the builder, Bhanu Constructions, had encroached into the adjacent government land under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (Survey No. 101) and raised the structure, as per a statement issued by HYDRAA on Saturday (November 1, 2025).

The Ameenpur site of 400 square yards was part of a layout approved by the then HUDA, while the encroachment onto the 473 square yard government land was a clearly malafide infringement, as the builder had divided the land into four plots without any layout permission, and also created fabricated documents of Layout Regularisation including a fake demand draft.

A case has already been registered against the owners of the construction company in the Ameenpur Police Station. Acting on a complaint from Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) officials, the HYDRAA teams first inspected the area to confirm the encroachment, and subsequently pulled down the part of the structure which stood on the government land.
