HYDERABAD: A 40-year-old daily labourer, Vepuri Yadaiah, allegedly killed his wife, sister-in-law, and their minor daughter before dying by suicide at their home in Kulkacherla, Vikarabad district, early on Sunday. The couple’s elder minor daughter was injured but managed to escape the predawn attack.Police suspect the triple murder stemmed from an ongoing domestic dispute between Yadaiah and his wife, Alivelu (35). The quarrel had reportedly been escalating, prompting Alivelu’s sister, Hanumamma, to travel from a neighbouring mandal to their home on Saturday to mediate.According to police, the elder daughter woke up between 2.30am and 3.00am to the sound of machete blows and found her father attacking her. She fled and alerted neighbours, who rushed to the scene. They found Alivelu, Hanumamma, and the younger daughter lying in a pool of blood with multiple injuries.Yadaiah was later found hanging from the roof nearby. Police reached the spot following a Dial 100 call. A case of murder and suicide has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact motive.
