The Kia Seltos, one of India’s top-selling midsize SUVs, is set for a generational upgrade in December 2025. Ahead of its official unveiling, an interesting digital rendering has emerged online, showing the next-gen Seltos X-Line in an all-new avatar.
The rendered model features a newly-designed grille with multiple vertical slats, a revised black bumper, redesigned LED headlamps and foglamp assembly, and bonnet with sharper creases. It has more pronounced wheel arch cladding and flush-type door handles.
Improved Design
Spy images reveal that the 2026 Kia Seltos will sport the brand’s latest ‘Opposites United’ design language along with elements such as a new grille, slim and angular vertical DRLs, revised foglamps, newly-designed alloy wheels and connected taillamps. The global-spec new Seltos will be around 100mm longer than the current generation, making it even longer than the Jeep Compass. However, it remains to be seen whether the India-spec version will also grow in size.

More Features!
Interior details of the new Kia Seltos 2026 are still under the wraps. According to reports, the midsize SUV might share the Trinity Panormaic Display from the Syros. This setup will include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 5-inch touchscreen for climate control functionalities. Aiming to further enhance the cabin experience, Kia is expected to equip the new Seltos with several additional features.
Same Engine & Gearbox Options
The engine setup, however, will remain unchanged. The 2026 Kia Seltos will continue to come with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines. Transmission options will also be carried over from the current generation.
Kia Seltos Hybrid in 2027
The all-new Kia Seltos will go hybrid in 2027. Globally, the Seltos hybrid is expected to feature a 141bhp, 1.6L petrol-hybrid powertrain that also does duty in the Kia Niro and Hyundai Kona hybrid. In India, the hybrid Seltos is likely to use a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an electric motor.
