Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to unveil its third born-electric SUV based on the INGLO skateboard platform – the Mahindra XEV 9S. The model will make its global debut on 27th November 2025, which expected to be followed by its market launch in early 2026.
The XEV 9S is believed to be the production version of the XEV 7e, sharing several design elements with the XEV 9e and XUV700. While official product details will be revealed in the coming weeks, here’re 4 facts we can expect from Mahindra’s upcoming 7-seater electric SUV.
Blend of XEV 9e & XUV700
Leaked images reveal that the Mahindra XEV 9S will feature a closed-off grille and triangular headlamp housing as we have seen in the XEV 9e. However, the inverted L-shaped DRL setup and front bumper will be slightly different from its 5-seater sibling. The overall silhouette and stance will be similar to the ICE-powered XUV700, while the EV will come with the newly-designed aero-optimized alloy wheels.

L2 ADAS & More
The interiors are expected to be premium and packed with advanced tech similar to those we have seen in the new-gen Mahindra EVs. The XEV 9S is likely to offer a triple screen setup, two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, a panoramic sunroof, HUD (Head-up Display), 16-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system, wireless phone chargers, powered and ventilated front seats, Level 2 ADAS, multiple airbags and several more goodies.
3-Row Seats
Similar the ICE XUV700, the Mahindra XEV 9S will offer a three-row seating configuration. Buyers may also option the option to choose captain seats in the second row.
Expected Range Over 500km
The forthcoming Mahindra XEV 9S is likely to use the 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, sourced from the XEV 9e. While the official specifications and performance figures are still under the wraps, the EV is expected to offer a range of over 500km per charge.
