Kaantha starring Dulquer Salmaan, Samuthirakani, Bhagyashri Borse and Rana Daggubati trailer has been unveiled today. The makers have showcased the bygone era of South Indian Cinema, situated in Madras, with meticulous dedication and commitment. They twisted the real incidents in a dynamic way.
The movie is based on Tamil first superstar ML Bhagavatar, facing allegations of murder and conspiracy. He had to suffer 7 years before acquittal from the case and all charges. Kaantha adds a dynamic twist of ego clashes between Dulquer Salmaan, who is playing the leading role based on Bhagvatar and his mentor Samuthirakani.
Dulquer insists of shadow directing the film going against his mentor on his own sets. We see his attraction towards Bhagyashri Borse and her performance doesn’t really match old world charm while look does. Rana Daggubati is good and cool as an inspector who takes over the sets and investigates in his style.
Selvamani Selvaraj engrosses audiences with his vision and production design is apt to the era. But can this film be another Mahanati or not, we have to wait and see. Dulquer Salmaan and Rana have produced the film and it is releasing on 14th November in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
