Ducati has launched the latest iteration of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in India. The high-end ADV is priced at Rs 36.17 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak comes with a bespoke “Pikes Peak” colour scheme inspired by Ducati MotoGP, Superbike, and Motocross bikes. It features numerous carbon fibre parts, a low smoked plexiglass, gold anodized Ohlins fork sleeves, seat with a V4 logo, a Ducati Corse shield, and a homologated Akrapovic titanium exhaust. The footpegs are set higher and rearward compared to the standard bike to increase the maximum lean angle and facilitate body movement. The handlebars are lower, narrower, and have less curvature. Based on an aluminium monocoque frame, the new Pikes Peak version gets a different steering head and a repositioned single-sided swingarm. It is equipped with Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension and a 17-inch front wheel, while braking is handled by 330 mm front discs with Brembo Stylema calipers and a new 280 mm rear disc. At the heart of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is a 1,158cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4 Granturismo engine. It produces 168 BHP @ 10,750 rpm and 124 Nm @ 9,000 rpm. The engine is now E20-compliant and comes with a cylinder deactivation system. The ADV comes with a comprehensive electronics suite, including Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), among others.
