Ducati has launched the updated Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in India. Its ex-showroom price is Rs.36.17 lakh. Positioned second from the top in the Multistrada lineup, the Pikes Peak Edition is a performance-centric version of the V4 and is priced at Rs. 5.55 lakh more than the V4 S. With this change you also get higher specification components, changes in ergonomics and some technical upgrades.

The updated Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is powered by a 1,158 cc V4 GranTurismo engine, which is E20 compliant and is also available in the rest of the Multistrada range. This engine produces 168 bhp and 123.8 Nm of peak torque at 10,750 rpm. It also features an updated standard Multistrada V4 cylinder deactivation system, which shuts down the rear cylinder bank at low speeds to reduce heat and increase mileage. It becomes active again when needed.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak continues the familiar design language of the Multistrada family, with some visual updates as well. The motorcycle is finished in a new “Pikes Peak” colour, inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP, Superbike and Motocross machines, and also gets number panels on the side fairing. Additional design details include carbon-fiber components, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, a low-smoke windscreen and gold-anodized Öhlins fork tubes. The seat design includes the V4 logo and Ducati Corse emblem on the front cowl.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak has better ergonomics than the standard model. The footpegs are higher and further back, while the handlebars are lower, narrower and have a flat curve.
One of the major differences of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak lies in its premium hardware. This bike is equipped with Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension. Like the setup on the Panigale V4 S and Streetfighter V4 S, it automatically adjusts the damping based on rider inputs and real-time conditions. Braking parts include two 330 mm front discs and a 280 mm rear disc. It rides on a 17-inch front wheel and has a single-sided swingarm, making it unique in the lineup.

The new Pikes Peak also has an advanced set of electronic systems. Working on a six-axis inertial platform, Ducati has added a new DVO (Ducati Vehicle Observer) feature that can simulate data from up to 70 virtual sensors. This is claimed to provide better operation of systems like cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). This package also includes three-level adjustable Engine Brake Control (EBC) and an Electronic Combined Braking System.
As standard, the Pikes Peak is equipped with radar-based rider assistance features, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and a new Forward Collision Warning (FCW) function. Additional features include a 6.5-inch color TFT display with Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL) and an updated interface that lets riders adjust suspension settings independently.
