Following our previous exclusive report on the Hero Xtreme 125R getting the same rider aids and tech as the Glamor X, Hero MotoCorp has now quietly launched a new most expensive variant of the motorcycle in India. The new variant is priced at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it at the top of the Extreme 125R range.

The new variant has many of the same features as the Glamor X. It has a ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, three riding modes – Eco, Road and Power – and a new color 4.2-inch LCD display. The special thing is that this new variant also has disc brakes on both sides and dual-channel ABS.
Like the Glamor X setup, the Extreme 125R has a dedicated cruise control switch on the right side. A ride mode selector and menu navigation buttons are also provided on the left side.

To differentiate this most expensive model from the rest of the lineup, Hero has introduced three new dual-tone color options: red, gray and green, each paired with a contrasting black color.
Inside, there is no change. It is powered by the same 124.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the Glamor X, which produces 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

With the launch of this new variant, the Extreme 125R lineup now comprises four variants, base IBS (Rs.89,000), ABS with ABS (Rs.92,500), ABS with single seat (Rs.92,500), and the new dual-channel ABS variant priced at Rs.1.04 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
