Madras driven 2025: My first ever car meet experience in Chennai

Madras driven 2025: My first ever car meet experience in Chennai BHPian Davezzy recently shared this with other enthusiasts: The promotions were strong, and the event was being hyped up as a better one than the previous ones. I hesitated since the previous one had mixed opinions and a few criticisms. But once the pre-meet videos came out on Instagram, I knew my next move and immediately reserved my ticket three days before the event for a total cost of Rs. 1,155 (Including a Rs. 100 discount). Prayers were strong that it better be worth the purchase since this would be my first ever car meet, and I didn’t want it to be a disappointment or regret. The L2 & L3 floors of the Palladium parking were assigned for the event, and several artists were also invited to perform for this one. Some of the famous artists who showed up were Asal Kolaar, DJ Sne, and Tamizh Aadhavan. Their performances were restricted to L3 of the parking lot, and there was an accommodation made for people to see what’s going on on the L3 floor from L2, which was actually a great move. There was a wide variety of stock, tuned, and modded cars for display on the L2 parking lot while the drift show, drift taxi experience (Where you can pay up for experiencing the drift as a passenger), stunts, and song performances took place in L3. The event was scheduled to go on from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm I showed up at 7.00 pm sharp and was left to wait in a long queue, which never felt like it was moving as time went by, with all those muffled exhaust noises in the background. Soon, my tickets were scanned, and I was provided with a wristband, which was considered the entry ID for the event, a bunch of vouchers, and a bottle of water. I made my way to the L3 parking lot first and got to witness the drift show along with small stunt performances by a very young driver on her bike, still within the size of those 24-inch wheels on a few specific tracks, and song performances also started to take place by then. Bored by the repetition of the events, I went down to visit the displayed cars just 30 minutes into the event, and boyyyyy, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. The crowd filtered out really well inside the event as people who were there for the concerts stayed on L3 while those who were there for the cars occupied the L2 comfortably. There were around 40 – 50 cars on display, ranging across a variety of automakers from Maruti Suzuki to Porsche. The ground was dominated by BMWs with different models and generations more than any other car out there, and the diversity really made it an awesome event. The L2 parking floor was just scheduled for display, some took it further to do short burnouts, pulls, and launches apart from the usual rev bombing, which took the place to an entirely different vibe. Three hours went by in a breeze despite being the only person. I never realised this until I received a call back from home, and I knew the ticket was WELL worth it. Enough of the talking now, I’ll let the pictures do the honours Go karts attempting to drift around, if I’m not wrong one of the two go karts were offered for people to try on I was SOOO interested to see what this Laura actually was but it remained quiet throughout the entire meet and left with a small short yet sweet pull The BMW zone: Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
