Aamir Khan, one of Bollywood’s top stars and popularly known as Mr. Perfectionist, is currently going through the toughest phase of his career. None of his recent films have performed well at the box office, and even his cameo appearance in Rajinikanth’s Jailer drew trolling.
In this backdrop, Aamir Khan is taking a cautious approach while choosing his next project.
The latest buzz is that he has decided not to go ahead with the biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema, which was being planned by director Rajkumar Hirani. According to Bollywood Hungama, Aamir felt the script lacked the “appeal factor” for today’s audiences, whose viewing habits have drastically changed.
Earlier, NTR had also agreed to star in a Dadasaheb Phalke biopic, to be presented by Rajamouli and produced by SS Karthikeya. However, following the debacle of War 2, NTR opted out of the project and decided to stay away from Bollywood for now.
Now, Aamir Khan seems to have made a similar decision, shelving the biopic project as well.
