Coffee table book on Asif Jahi heritage in Warangal launched

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, on Wednesday, unveiled a coffee table book titled ‘Jewels of Asaf Jahis – The Glory of Warangal’, authored by Kannekanti Venkata Ramana, Joint Director in the Information and Public Relations Department.

Although Warangal is widely associated with the Kakatiya period, known for the Thousand Pillar Temple, Warangal Fort and Bhadrakali Temple, the city also contains significant heritage from the Nizam era. The coffee table book features photographs and accounts of landmarks such as Kazipet Railway Station and Dharmasagar Filter Bed, which is now part of the Mission Bhagiratha drinking water project.
