The Hyundai Verna was first introduced in 2006, and has since received multiple facelifts and generational upgrades so far. The midsize sedan, which is currently in its fourth generation, is now gearing up for a midlife update expected to arrive in early 2026. The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift has begun its testing rounds and one of its test mules was recently caught on camera revealing a few design details.
Subtle Design Changes
The updated model is expected to come with significantly revised front and rear sections, while the side profile might remain largely unchanged. It is likely to sport the redesigned front and rear bumpers and new lighting elements. Design elements such as alloy wheels, connected taillamps, and boot-lid mounted spoiler at the rear will be carried over from the current model.
Dual Screens & More
Interestingly, the test mule was spotted with a curved dual-screen setup similar to the one seen in the Creta and the newly-launched Venue. Each display unit is likely to measure around 10.25-inch – one for the infotainment system, one for the instrument functionalities and a dedicated display for front passenger. The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift will also offer a new D-cut steering wheel, borrowed from the new-gen venue. This unit is likely to have tilt and telescopic adjustment along with mounted controls.
Level 2 ADAS?
According to media reports, the new Hyundai Verna 2026 might be equipped with the new Level 2 ADAS suite offering features such as lane keeping assist, blind spot collision avoidance assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning and more.
Same Engine Options
Mechanically, the new 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift is expected to remain unchanged. The existing 1.5L MPi petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol engines will be carried forward. The former delivers a maximum power of 115PS and 143.8Nm of torque, while the latter is good enough for 160PS and 253Nm. Transmissions will also remain intact – i.e. 6-speed manual, iVT and a 7-speed DCT.
