Hyderabad: In a case of betrayal, a woman’s trusted relative allegedly sold her gold and diamond ornaments that were kept in a bank locker in Film Nagar.

As per available information, Deepthi (40), a resident of Jubilee Hills, had deposited her valuable jewellery in a locker at a private bank in Banjara Hills, under the name of her relative Venkata Ramana in January this year.

A week ago, when Deepthi and Venkata Ramana visited the bank, she was shocked to find the ornaments missing. She subsequently lodged a police complaint.

The Film Nagar Police detained Venkata Ramana over a strong suspicion, who reportedly confessed to selling the jewellery. Further investigation is ongoing.
