President, Vice-President To Arrive In Hyderabad


HYDERABAD: President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan are scheduled to visit Hyderabad next week to attend two official events. While the Vice-President will arrive on November 16, the President’s visit is slated for November 21.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and DGP B. Shivadhar Reddy on Wednesday reviewed the arrangements for the high-profile visits with senior officials at the Secretariat. The Chief Secretary directed all departments to make comprehensive arrangements in coordination with one another and to appoint nodal officers to ensure strict adherence to protocol and security norms.

The Vice-President will arrive at Begumpet Airport on the afternoon of November 16. After a brief rest at Raj Bhavan, he will attend a High Tea hosted by the Governor and later participate in a programme at Ramoji Film City. He is scheduled to depart for New Delhi from Shamshabad Airport at 8 pm.

The Chief Secretary instructed officials to implement security and traffic management plans as per the Blue Book and VVIP protocol manual, ensuring there are no lapses in coordination. Departments including General Administration (GAD), Fire Services, Roads and Buildings, Health, Municipal Administration, Energy, BSNL, and Horticulture have been directed to complete their assigned tasks meticulously.

President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at Begumpet Airport on the afternoon of November 21. After a brief halt at Raj Bhavan, she will attend the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsavam as the chief guest at Rashtrapati Nilayam. The President will stay overnight at Raj Bhavan and proceed to Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, the next morning.

Ramakrishna Rao pointed out that all departments must personally monitor the preparations, maintaining the highest standards of security, coordination, and protocol. He directed the District Collectors of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal to oversee arrangements closely, while Raj Bhavan officials were asked to ensure readiness at the venues.

Military and airport authorities have been instructed to remain on high alert. Officials were also directed to conduct Advance Security Liaison (ASL) meetings and full-dress rehearsals a day before each visit to ensure flawless execution of arrangements.
