Top filmmaker SS Rajamouli continues to unveil the key characters from his highly anticipated film, tentatively regarded as “GlobeTrotter.” After revealing the first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha, Rajamouli has now introduced Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mandakini.
The first look poster showcases Priyanka in a striking action avatar, wielding a gun and firing from atop a hill cliff. Dressed in a yellow saree and desi chappals, she exudes both grace and grit, marking a stark contrast to the female leads seen in Rajamouli’s recent films.
“GlobeTrotter” is said to be an epic globe-trotting adventure drama with Mahesh Babu playing the protagonist. Priyanka’s character, Mandakini, is described as a multi-layered woman who performs high-octane stunts alongside the lead.
Sharing the first look on social media, Rajamouli wrote: “The woman who redefined Indian cinema on the global stage. Welcome back, Desi Girl! @priyankachopra Can’t wait for the world to witness your myriad shades of MANDAKINI.”
The next reveal from the team will be Mahesh Babu’s first look as Rudra. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Kumbha, a paraplegic antagonist.
The makers have also announced that a video glimpse from “GlobeTrotter” will be launched on Saturday, November 15, at a grand event in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The event will see the presence of Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and the core team, and will be streamed live on JioHotstar.
