Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said during his “Footbahlin” podcast that he doesn’t expect quarterback Joe Flacco and the Bengals to have the same success against Pittsburgh in Week 11 at Acrisure Stadium that they had in Week 7 in Cincinnati.
“There is zero – I’m not gonna say zero because that’s awful. There’s a 4 1/2 percent chance that Joe Flacco goes out and does what he did last (time) to us,” Roethlisberger said. “Four-and-a-half, that’s it. It’s not gonna happen at Acrisure. It won’t happen here. … It will not happen this week. … We might win by 15+ (points).”
In October, Roethlisberger said the Bengals’ white uniforms and field paint were to blame for an interception by quarterback Aaron Rodgers during the Steelers’ 33-31 loss at Paycor Stadium on Thursday Night Football in October.
In the first “Icy Hot Bowl” between Flacco and Rodgers, Flacco completed 31-of-47 for 342 passing yards with three touchdown passes.
Flacco didn’t throw during practice Nov. 12 because of a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, but is expected to pass during practice Nov. 13.
In 2022, Roethlisberger, who starred at Miami University, said he “always hated playing” the Bengals “because I was afraid I was gonna get hurt because of something dirty, something cheap.”
