Yamaha Motor Company recently introduced four all-new products – the XSR155 neo-retro roadster, the FZ-Rave, and two electric scooters – the Aerox Electric and the EC-06. The Yamaha XSR155 is being offered at an introductory price of Rs 1.50 lakh, while the Yamaha FZ-Rave is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Yamaha Aerox Electric and EC-06 electric scooter made their official debut and slated to hit showrooms in the first quarter of 2026.
The Aerox-E has a sportier appeal, while the EC-06 is positioned as a more family-oriented and practical commuter. Here’re the key details of these upcoming Yamaha electric scooters.
Yamaha Aerox Electric

| Dual Battery | 1.5kWh |
| Electric Motor | Single |
| Power | 9.5kW |
| Torque | 48Nm |
| Range | 106km |
The overall design and styling of the Aerox-E appear similar to its ICE counterpart – the Aerox 155. It features the same twin LED headlight and LED taillight. However, the electric iteration has improved ergonomics for better performance and comfort. Due to certain design adjustments, the boot space has been trimmed down. Unlike its ICE counterpart, the Aerox-E offers a TFT instrument cluster offering app-based connectivity.
The Yamaha Aerox Electric comes with dual 9.5kW/48Nm electric motor, paired with dual 1.5kWh removable batteries. These battery packs are claimed to feature ‘high energy type cells’ for enhanced performance. It delivers a certified range of 106km, and offers four riding modes – Eco, Standard, Power and Boost. The braking system consists of the front and rear disc brakes, supported by ABS.
Yamaha EC-06

| Single Battery | 4kWh |
| Electric Motor | Single |
| Power | 6.7kW |
| Range | 160km |
Based on the River Indie, the Yamaha EC-06 electric scooter uses a 4kWh battery pack and a 6.7kW electric motor. This setup delivers a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 160km on a single charge. The battery takes nearly 9 hours to fully charge using a standard power socket. The e-scooter offers a top speed of 90kmph. It comes with three riding modes, reverse assist and a colour LCD instrument cluster.
The new EC-06 electric scooter appears boxier than the River Indie. Some of its key highlights are a colour LCD display, USB charging, telescopic front fork, twin rear shocks and 14-inch front and rear wheels. Unlike the River Indie that offers an underseat storage of 43-litres, the new Yamaha EC-06 provides 24.5-litre of space.
