Yamaha Motor India has introduced two new motorcycles and two electric scooters at a recently held event in Mumbai. The Yamaha XSR155 has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.50 lakh, while the Yamaha FZ-Rave is available at Rs 1.17 lakh (all, ex-showroom, Delhi). The Yamaha Aerox electric and EC-06 electric scooter also made their official debut at the event, with specifications revealed.
The Yamaha FZ-Rave shares engine and several components with the FZ-S models; however, it features a distinct design and styling. It comes in two colour options – Metallic Black and Matte Titan.

Engine Power & Specs
| Engine | 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder |
| Power | 12.4bhp |
| Torque | 13.3Nm |

Starting with the engine, the Yamaha FZ-Rave derives power from the familiar 149cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This motor produces a maximum power of 12.4bhp and 13.3Nm of torque. The bike features disc brakes at both ends, supported by a single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
The all-new FZ-Rave has been assembled with 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels. It offers a fuel tank capacity of 13-litres, a seat height of 790mm and a ground clearance of 165mm. The bike has a kerb weight of 136kg, thus making it 1kg lighter than its sibling – the FZ-S.

Key Features
The Yamaha FZ-Rave looks sportier than other FZ models, featuring futuristic headlight design, an all-LED lighting setup and red wheels. The bike comes equipped with a small LCD console that displays the fuel level, speed, odometer and multiple tripmeter readouts.
Rivals
With its competitive pricing, the new Yamaha FZ Rave takes directly on the Suzuki Gixxer 150, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and TVS Apache RTR 160 2V. Compared to the Yamaha FZ-S Fi, it’s Rs 6,745 more affordable.
