Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s ambitious pitch for investments to build Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion SGDP by 2047 received strong endorsement from global business leaders at the annual US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Conclave in New Delhi on Thursday.
Tech icon and former Cisco CEO John Chambers lauded Reddy’s vision for Telangana, calling it “bold, clear, and very achievable,” while assuring his fullest support. He praised the Chief Minister’s articulation of game-changing projects and their potential social impact.
Dr. Mukesh Aghi, CEO and President of USISPF, expressed the forum’s complete support for Telangana’s development roadmap. “In response to the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s invitation, most of our members will attend the Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8 and 9 in Hyderabad, where the comprehensive vision for the state will be unveiled,” he said.
Addressing global investors, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the state’s unique advantages and business-friendly environment. “Telangana is India’s youngest, most dynamic, and successful state. Hyderabad is centrally located, secure, and known for its world-class infrastructure and weather. We are the gateway to the Indian market and a leading destination for Global Capability Centers. I invite global investors to come and partner in our growth story,” he said.
Listing the Congress government’s achievements over the past 23 months, the Chief Minister said his priorities for the coming years include economic empowerment of women, quality education and skills, and urban transformation to make Hyderabad a truly world-class city with the highest standards of living.
He invited top global academic institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford to establish offshore campuses in Hyderabad, noting that easier visa processes and lower costs would make Ivy League programs accessible to students from across the Global South.
Elaborating on key infrastructure projects, Reddy said initiatives such as Bharat Future City, River Musi Rejuvenation, Regional Ring Roads, Radial Roads, Hyderabad Metro Expansion, and a new Dry Port would reshape Telangana’s urban and industrial landscape. “Bharat Future City will be India’s most advanced, world-class urban hub spread across 30,000 acres. The Musi Riverfront, after rejuvenation, will rival global cities like London, Tokyo, Dubai, or Seoul—adding a vibrant night economy to Hyderabad,” he said.
Emphasizing Telangana’s positioning as the global “China +1” alternative for manufacturing, he added that the state’s infrastructure and governance reforms were aimed at making it the preferred destination for global enterprises.
Concluding his address, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy remarked, “We will name important roads in Hyderabad after corporates Google, Meta, TCS, Infosys Streets. In India, most roads are named after political leaders; it’s time we celebrate innovators and builders who shape the future.”
