Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up for two important product launches – the XEV 9S and the XUV700 facelift. The Mahindra XEV 9S is set to make its global debut on 27th November 2025, while the updated XUV700 is reported to enter production in December 2025. Both SUVs will go on sale in early 2026.
The 2026 Mahindra XUV700 facelift is likely to receive noticeable design changes inspired by the XEV 9e along with a bunch of new features. The powertrain options, however, will remain unchanged.
Improved Design
Spy images reveal that the new Mahindra XUV700 will feature a redesigned front grille with larger air inlets and revised twin-pod headlamps. The front bumper and LED DRL signature will also be updated. The sheet metal on the bonnet, fenders and doors will remain unchanged. Save for the newly-designed alloy wheels with aero-optimized design, the side profile will look largely similar. At the back, the SUV might feature a new lighting signature with a connected light strip and a tweaked bumper.

New Features
Significant upgrades are expected inside the cabin. The new 2026 Mahindra XUV700 facelift is likely to borrow the triple screen setup from the XEV 9e. The SUV might also receive a Harman/Kardon sound system along with a few additional features. Similar to the pre-facelift, the updated version will continue to come with the 6 and 7-seats configuration options.
Same Engine-Gearbox Options
Mechanically, the 2026 Mahindra XUV700 facelift is likely to remain unchanged. The SUV lineup will continue to come with the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines, delivering a claimed power of 200bhp with 380Nm, and 155/185bhp with 360Nm/450Nm, respectively. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The AWD (all-wheel drive) system will continue to be reserved for the diesel-automatic variants.
Minimal Price Hike
At present, the XUV700 is available within the price range of Rs 13.66 lakh – Rs 23.71 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Considering design and feature upgrades, the facelifted model is expected to witness a minor price bump.
