Actress Kayadu Lohar, who shot to fame after starring in Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon, recently found herself dragged into a political controversy in Tamil Nadu. Her striking screen presence earned her a strong fan base, and offers quickly began pouring in from Tamil cinema. She is now gaining traction in Telugu as well, with her next film “Funky” opposite Vishwaksen set for release soon.
In a recent interview, Kayadu was asked about the rumors surrounding her. Speculation claimed she had close ties with the ruling party in Tamil Nadu and attended private parties after being paid large sums. She was later caught up in another controversy when someone alleged she had posted a tweet against actor Thalapathy Vijay.
Visibly hurt, Kayadu spoke emotionally about how difficult the situation has been for her to process.
“I never thought something like this would hit me so hard. Whatever people have been saying about me… when I go to sleep, it’s very hard to accept that people think such things about me. I would never think like that about anyone. All I’ve done is be good to people and follow my dreams. I don’t know what wrong I did. When I read these comments, it’s not easy. The only question I ask is—why? I didn’t do anything,” she said.
Kayadu said she understands that actresses often become easy targets, but added that it is unfair to blame her for things she has nothing to do with.

“Why are you targeting me? I know people will talk because of the background I come from—it’s part of this profession. But recently, it’s been affecting me a lot, and I’m not okay with it. I just want to be honest about that. It would be better if people were a little kinder, and thought about how their words might make someone feel,” she added.
