Upgrading my ride with Aoocci C6 Pro: Android auto, dashcams and more BHPian WhiskeyTangoFox recently shared this with other enthusiasts:Introduction:Ever since I picked up a new phone a few months ago, I have been using my old phone for navigation, because I didn’t want to risk damaging the camera’s OIS sensors. While this approach works for the most part, it did turn out to be quite annoying, mainly because the old phone kept heating up, discharging quickly, and was generally very slow. Around the same time, my old Skyshop TPMS (Which I’ve talked about somewhere on this thread) went Kaput for the third time (read water ingress). This drove home my decision to pick up an Android Auto device.The decision:I was initially looking for something with just the display and the TPMS, like the Aoocci c3 Plus, which you can pick up for around INR 7000, with all the discount codes floating around. However, as this is something I plan on keeping for a while (and do plan on moving to my next motorcycle, whenever that is) I decided to go all out and get the Aoocci C6 Pro, which comes with front and rear dashcams. I bought and had it installed at GTR Pitstop in HSR Layout, who did a fairly good job. I made a custom boot screen for the device. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do this, and it is a fairly simple process. The device has a 6.25-inch screen at a resolution of 1560×720 px. The device comes with front and rear cameras as well, which can be used. There is plenty of wire to go around. The device also comes with an external remote, which I find very useful. The first button can be used to pause / play music, and answer / reject calls. The unit connects to your intercom / headset. The second button can be used to toggle between the dashcam and android auto on the go. The third button can be used to toggle between the different dashcam views. A view of the cockpit, currently. I’ve had this only for one day, and will keep the thread updated on how the device performs in the long run. The bike definitely did feel rough after the full-fledged implementation of e20 fuel, and mileage dropped from the usual 25-26 kmpl that I used to get in the city, to 22kmpl. I watched a video by Ontwowheelsben on youtube, who recommended the Iftex System G Cleaner. The positive difference in smoothness was immediate. I will keep the thread updated on its long-term performance. Separately, the bike is leaking oil ever so slightly. I did consult with a local FNG, and he tightened the bolts and said that if it does happen again (I’m pretty sure it will), then the gaskets have to be replaced.
