Mahindra XUV7XO Launch In Jan 2026 – New Design & Features

Mahindra & Mahindra has recently trademarked the name ‘XUV7XO’, which is likely to be used for the XUV700 facelift slated to launch in January 2026. A similar rebranding strategy was adopted for the Mahindra XUV300 facelift in 2024, which introduced as the XUV 3XO. The Mahindra XUV7XO (XUV700 facelift) is likely to receive noticeable design enhancements and feature upgrades over the current model. However, the engine setup is expected to be carried forward.

Mahindra XUV7XO – XEV 9e-Inspired Updates

Most of the design changes are expected at the front end. The 2026 Mahindra XUV700 facelift or XUV7XO might feature a newly-designed grille and headlamps with twin-pod like design, revised bumper and new LED DRL signature. However, the sheet metal on the doors, bonnet and fenders will remain unchanged. The SUV will come with the newly-designed, aero-optimized alloy wheels.  At the back, it is likely to sport a new connected lighting signature forming a full-width light bar, along with a tweaked bumper.

Inside, the new Mahindra XUV700 might borrow the triple screen setup from the XEV 9e. It could also get a premium Harman Kardon audio system, auto dimming IRVMs and BYOD feature for rear seat entertainment. It will remain to be seen whether Mahindra replaces the physical buttons with a touch panel or not.

Mahindra XUV7XO Engine Specifications

The 2026 Mahindra XUV700 or XUV7XO is expected to retain the existing engine setup that includes a 2.0L turbo petrol and a 2.2L turbo diesel. The petrol engine pushes out a maximum power of 200bhp and 380Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces a peak power of 155bhp with 360Nm and 185bhp with 450Nm.

The SUV lineup will continue to be available with two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The diesel-automatic variants will exclusively be offered with an AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
