JSW MG Motor India has announced that the Windsor EV has crossed the sales mark of 50,000 units. This milestone of 50,000 units has been achieved in more than a year, specifically in 400 days. This is the first major achievement of this model since the start of sales in the Indian market.

Windsor has attracted a lot of attention since its launch in October 2024. MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, which allows buyers to reduce the initial purchase price by subscribing to the battery separately, has been one of the factors contributing to the overall performance of this model. Since its launch, the Windsor EV has consistently recorded a major share of monthly sales for the brand.

In October 2025, MG launched the first special edition of this model, the Windsor Inspire Edition. Limited to 300 units, it featured black exterior elements and red accents in the cabin. The Inspire Edition was priced at Rs.16.65 lakh, which was Rs.9.99 lakh for buyers opting for the BaaS plan. This variant arrived at the end of the Windsor’s first year of sales, by which time MG had sold over 40,000 cars.
