Codenamed SP3i, the second-generation Kia Seltos is all set to make its global debut on 10th December. While its official launch date and details are yet to revealed, the SUV is expected to hit showrooms in the first half of 2026. In the midsize SUV segment, the new 2026 Kia Seltos will face challenge from the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder and the upcoming Tata Sierranew Renault Duster and Nissan Tekton.

Larger Than Before
The new Kia Seltos will be significantly longer and wider than the current generation. The increased dimensions are likely to free up more cabin space, especially legroom and shoulder room. The overall length, width and height of the existing Seltos stand at 4,365mm, 1,800mm and 1,645mm, respectively. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,610mm.
Telluride-Inspired Design
Spy images reveal that the new 2026 Kia Seltos will feature the brand’s latest design language as we have seen on the new Kia Telluride SUV. It will carry a more upright stance, and a boxier overall profiel. The next-gen model is likely to get a completely revised front fascia along with the newly-designed alloy wheels and revised bumpers.
More Features
The interior could be revised with a new dashboard design, curved dual screen setup, updated control panel and new upholstery. More features are expected to enhance the overall package value. The SUV will continue offering features such as front ventilated seats, 8-way power driver seat, dual pane panoramic sunroof, ADAS suite, multiple airbags and more.
Same ICE Engines
The new Kia Seltos 2026 will continue to offer the existing 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and 116bhp, 1.5L diesel engines.
New 7-speed AT Gearbox
Rumour has it that the diesel engine might be offered with a new 7-speed automatic gearbox, replacing the existing 6-speed automatic transmission.
Hybrid Variant at a Later Stage
The new-gen Kia Seltos will go hybrid in 2027. Kia is likely to hybridize the 1.5L NA petrol engine, which will promise higher fuel efficiency.
Price Hike
With significant design enhancements, added features and mechanical upgrades, the 2026 Kia Seltos is expected to witness a noticeable price hike. The current lineup is available within the price range of Rs 10.79 lakh – Rs 19.81 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
