Telangana-Hyderabad weather: Cold wave conditions are set to continue in Telangana, with Hyderabad recording below-normal temperatures. The IMD forecasts dry weather this week and has issued important advisories for farmers and livestock owners.

Telangana-Hyderabad Weather Forecast Today: Bonfires are going to be more common in the nighttime in as cold wave conditions are likely to continue on Thursday, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). As per the latest bulletin by the IMD, cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over Telangana on November 20. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature was markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at few places over Telangana.
The state will see mostly dry weather throughout the week. Some places may see scattered rainfall from November 22 to 25.

Hyderabad on Wednesday recorded a maximum temperature of 29.4 degrees Celsius which was -0.5 degrees lower than normal. However, the minimum temperature of 13.1 degrees Celsius was -4.5 degrees lower than the normal.
IMD advisory for farmers
Farmers in the state have been advised by the IMD to apply light and frequent irrigation to the standing crops in the evening to “protect the crops from low temperature stress or cold injuries”.
“Use mulching and cover vegetable nurseries and young fruit plants with straw / polythene sheets to maintain optimum soil temperature. Cover banana bunches with 6% perforated plastic bags for protection from low temperatures,” the advisory read.
In addition, the IMD has advised special care for livestock. Cattle must be kept inside sheds at night and dry bedding must be ensure to protect them from the cold. Artificial light should be installed in poultry sheds/coops to ensure warmth for chickens and ducks.
