Jeh Aerospace is setting up a 2 lakh sq ft manufacturing facility in Kothur, Hyderabad, that will help the firm expand capacity, accelerate automation and strengthen digital supply-chain resilience for international customers.

Designed from the ground up as a software-defined, AI-powered factory, the site will integrate autonomous machining, digital twins and closed-loop quality systems, redefining precision manufacturing for the aerospace industry, the company said on Thursday.

Mach 2, the new facility, at Horizon Industrial Park, will be operational in 2026. It supplements Jeh’s existing 50,000 sq ft unit. “Our new Hyderabad facility is being engineered as a software-defined, AI-augmented system that can think, adapt and execute with precision at scale, Jeh founder and CEO Vishal Sanghavi said.

$50 million investment

The company said the investment is around $50 million and the new facility will focus on producing more advanced, flight-critical aero-engine and aerostructure components at a much larger scale. Mach 2 will manufacture complex components faster, with higher precision and with far greater consistency. The scale-up is driven by a clear shift in global aerospace demand and the need for suppliers who can support higher production rates with reliability.

The company’s customers are ramping significantly and require partners with greater capacity, faster lead times and stronger digital process control. Mach 2 will allow meet this demand proactively, Jeh said to queries from The Hindu.

On the headcount, the company said the current team comprises a little over 120 people. With the new facility, “we expect our workforce to at least double over the next phase. This expansion will require a larger team across engineering, manufacturing, quality, automation, and digital operations,” it said.

The Atlanta-headquartered Jeh counts General Catalyst, Elevation Capital and IndiGo Ventures among its investors. It has an order book of $150 million.

“Our Kothur park showcases the next generation of industrial infrastructure that is sustainable, connected and globally competitive,” Horizon CEO Urvish Rambhia said.
