The Kia Sorento has been caught testing in India for the first time. The premium 7-seater SUV is expected to challenge the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq. The Sorento is a large, 3-row SUV with a rugged, boxy design. It features T-shaped LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and a wide Tiger Nose grille in the front. At the rear, the SUV gets twin vertical taillamp units and a roof spoiler. The test vehicle was sporting 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels shod with 235/55 section tyres. Inside, the Sorento comes with dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system and a 3-spoke steering wheel. A quick glimpse of the interior revealed a rotary gear selector, which means it’s a hybrid. The Kia Sorento is offered with a wide range of powertrain options, including a 2.5-litre petrol, a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. Kia might bring the strong-hybrid version to India. Source: MotorOctane
