KTM issues recall for 125, 250 and 390 Duke models worldwide

KTM has announced a global recall for the 2024 model year 125 Duke, 250 Duke, 390 Duke and 990 Duke. The company says that some fuel tank cap seals of these bikes may not meet its quality standards.

During internal testing, KTM found that some seals may develop small cracks due to material incompatibility. This may cause fuel leakage from the tank cap area. Under the recall, the affected fuel tank cap seal will be replaced free of charge and the repair will be performed only at authorized KTM dealerships.

Customers who already own the affected motorcycles are being informed by mail and advised to contact their nearest authorized KTM dealer for replacement. Owners can also visit KTM’s official website to find out whether their bike is included in the recall or not.

This problem is limited to 2024 units of 125 Duke, 250 Duke, 390 Duke and 990 Duke. Although the 990 Duke is not sold in India, we advise owners of other 2024 models in the country to contact their nearest service center for confirmation.
