BHPian YD14 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:My first Helmet, a LS2 Storm III got myself a LS2 Storm II recently.Buying process:Went to Bulwark store in Rajajinagar with a friend. Tried SMK stellar, MT thunder, LS2 stream and storm. Out of all of them the LS2 Storm II helmets felt like it fit me the best. By tape measure the S size would fit me but it created concentrated pressure on front and back side of my head. M was a better fit and wasn’t wiggling or moving at all on my head so I bought this. If anybody is planning on buying helmet, please visit a physical store and try the helmet on. Everyone’s head is different. Total cost was 11,300. MT or LS2 stream II would have costed about the same with pinlock so I think the price is fair. SMK and AXOR sell for less but AXOR’s SHARP ratings do not inspire confidence.LS Storm II: Short Review After 400kms:The helmet is light compared my friends’ SMKs and AXORs. The fit is good and it is well balanced. From day one I never felt I am wearing a big helmet on my head. At the end of each ride my cheeks do pain but I know this is how it is suppose to be.All the vents, visor locking mechanism etc. are working fine.It came with a pinlock which I was planning on installing anyway on any helmet I buy.The wind noise is minimal, even with vents open. I don’t have reference of any other helmet but it fades into background and even after riding for long periods of time, I can hear just fine. No pain or soreness in ears.Paint and seals around visor are of good quality. Again I have no reference and it has just been 400kms. I got one scratch on it but that was from me placing it on a rock.It also creates blindspots. One time while changing lanes on highway I missed a whole Ertiga on my right side just behind me despite looking over my shoulders and checking mirrors. I make sure to turn my head as much as possible from that incident onwards. But I think this would be same for all proper helmets. Want to put a good word about the store too. A couple of my friends recommended the store Bulwark. As they told me, the store employees were very knowledgeable and helpful. They focused more on fit and safety than selling me any particular brand. They let me try any helmet I wanted and had all of them in stock in different sizes and colors.
