Being Mahalakshmi
Bhagyashri plays Mahalakshmi, a college-going girl whose track is pivotal to the narrative.
“She is deeply in love with Sagar, and the emotion she carries is central to the story,” she said, adding that the character will remain memorable for audiences. “I cannot reveal more, but you will understand her importance once you watch the film.”
The actress said the story’s core emotion resonated strongly with her. “When I moved from North to South, I saw the kind of admiration people have for stars here. I always wondered how someone can be loved so intensely without any personal connection. After director Mahesh narrated this story, I found the answer in the emotion he wrote.
She described Sagar and Mahalakshmi’s romance as “very pure,” highlighting songs like “Nuvvunte Chalu and Chinni Gundolo, which capture the essence of their bond.
Working with Ram Pothineni

She also shared her admiration for Upendra, with whom she shares a combination scene. “He is extremely humble and down-to-earth.”
Future aspirations
With only three films released so far, Bhagyashri has already gained a notable fan following.
