Five persons were arrested and ten victims involved in three Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act cases were rescued during late-night raids carried by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Cyberabad police. In addition, five sex workers and two transgenders were also detained during the week-long operation from November 15 to 21.

She Teams carried out 128 decoy operations, during which 79 individuals were held for indecent acts in public places. Petty cases were booked against them while others were counselled. The teams also received 18 complaints from women through multiple channels and helped reunite 30 families facing domestic disputes through Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women (CDEW) centres.

As part of the initiative under the Children and Youth Forum, an interactive safety awareness session was held for 230 Standard III students at Chirec School. With the theme ‘Being Good, Being Safe’, the Cyberabad Women and Children Safety Wing and Society For Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) helped young learners understand essential safety habits and encouraged them to see the police as approachable protectors.

Police officials said preventive and awareness activities continued throughout the week, with AHTU and She teams holding programmes across various locations in Cyberabad. A total of 286 participants received information on issues such as human and child trafficking, eve teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyber bullying and cyber frauds. The importance of helplines, including 181 for women, 1098 for children and 1930 for cybercrime reporting, was emphasised.
