Skoda Auto VW India crosses the 2 million production milestone Skoda Auto VW India is celebrating a new milestone, as cumulative production crosses the 2-million-unit mark. The milestone includes over 500,000 vehicles built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, such as the Skoda Kushaq, Slavia, Kylaq and the VW Taigun and Virtus. More than 700,000 vehicles have been shipped from India to markets across Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The last 500,000 units were produced in just 3.5 years. In 2025, the carmaker recorded its highest-ever 10-month performance, more than doubling YoY to 61,607 units. The VW Virtus registered its highest-ever monthly sales this Diwali. It controls a market share of over 40% in its segment. Skoda Auto VW India operates two manufacturing units, one in Pune and the other located in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. The company has invested nearly 600 million euros to support higher volumes and localization.
