Mizoram & Telangana ink pact to boost sports collaboration
At the vibrant techno-cultural festival in Hyderabad, Mizoram’s Sports Minister, Lalnghinglova Hmar, championed the cause for stronger sports collaboration with Telangana. Their partnership was further cemented through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at fostering sports development initiatives. During an insightful panel discussion, Hmar passionately articulated Mizoram’s vision to emerge as a leading force in the sports arena.

Aizawl: Mizoram minister of state for sports and youth services Lalnghinglova Hmarattended the ‘Telangana-North East Connect: A Techno-Cultural Festival’ held on Saturday in Hyderabad. He took part in a discussion panel on strengthening sports linkages between Telangana and northeast.During the event, Telangana and Mizoram signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the sports sector.The MoU was formally signed on Saturday night between Telangana governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Hmar after it was signed by officials of the two state govts.Speaking at a panel discussion on the theme ‘Spirit of the Game: Connecting Telangana and the North East,’ Hmar delivered an address on ‘Mizoram as a future sports powerhouse’. He said Mizoram is moving forward with a clear vision for sports development.
