Tirupati: State municipal administration minister Ponguru Narayana along with Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy inaugurated new traffic signals aimed at regulating traffic and easing congestion at seven key junctions at Nellore city on Sunday.Minister Narayana stated that a sum of Rs.1.39 crore was spent for the installation of the new traffic signals at various busy junctions at Haranathapuram, Ramalingapuram, VRC centre, Kanakamahak centre among others. Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy emphasised the crucial role of citizens in the success of the new system. He urged the public to strictly follow the traffic signals and rules, stressing that compliance would reduce accidents and make commuting safer and more comfortable. He also called on the police to maintain continuous supervision from the command control centre. Nellore SP Ajitha Vejendla and other police personnel took part.
