Hyderabad: Hyderabad is hosting South Asia’s largest poultry event, a four-day expo that began on Wednesday, to accelerate innovation and collaboration across the poultry landscape from Telangana. The event features unprecedented global participation, strategic collaborations, and an extensive showcase of innovation across the poultry value chain.
With India ranking second in global egg production and among the top four broiler-producing nations, the sector continues to expand as a global powerhouse, contributing significantly to nutrition, employment, and economic growth.
The 17th Poultry India Expo 2025 was inaugurated by transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Tummala Nageswara Rao. Centred on the theme “One Nation, One Expo,” the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA) announced that it has built strong partnerships with 16 international poultry associations, over 40 national bodies, 18 national media houses, 15 global media organisations and more than 100 influencers.
The ministers highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting industry growth, sustainability and rural market empowerment.
More than 500 exhibitors from over 50 countries are participating in the expo, with around 50,000 visitors expected to engage across 35,000 square metres of exhibits in seven halls.
The event also focuses on critical challenges such as sustainability, disease control, smart technology adoption and raw material volatility. The flagship Poultry Knowledge Day brought together global experts to discuss emerging diseases, sustainable strategies, rural market potential and evolving career opportunities.
The expo is facilitating high-impact networking, trade partnerships, technology launches and international collaborations, further strengthening India’s position in the global poultry sector.
