Hyderabad to Tirupati round trip in my Mahindra XUV700: Route update

Hyderabad to Tirupati round trip in my Mahindra XUV700: Route update BHPian vishnu_gvrr recently shared this with other enthusiasts: I had travelled from Hyderabad to Tirupati on 22.11.25 and returned on 24.11.25Onward JourneyORR Exit 5 (My son’s college) – Miryalaguda – Addanki – Nellore – Tirupati Started at 12.30 PM as my son had classes till 12.15 PM. The route was good except for the huge traffic on the Vijayawada highway. Had Lunch at Village Organic Kitchen which serves quick lunch. We finished lunch in 20 minutes and stopped for a coffee break at Alas Food World, Ongole bypass end. The restrooms are good and the coffee is ok for the low price. After a 10-minute break, drove continuously to reach the Tirupati Bus stand area by 9.45 PM. Had dinner at my in-laws’ place and retired. The traffic on NH-16 is very bad. Though roads are good, the traffic nullifies the advantage of better roads. On the 23rd morning went to Tirumala and stayed for the night after local sightseeing. 24th morning had darshan of Lord Venkateshwara and returned to the in-laws’ place.Return journeyMy in-laws decided to join us for the return journey. Started at 1.40 PM from Tirupati and took the Rajampet-Kadapa-Kurnool Route. Reached Ontimitta temple at 3.30 PM and had darshan. Took a coffee break after darshan and started back. Reached to Food Pyramid at 8 PM for dinner. Reached home in Miyapur by 11 PM. Since we started in the afternoon, the traffic on the Tirupati – Rajmpet – Kadapa route was minimal, and except bad stretch of roads for 20 KMs, it was a decent journey. My XUV700 returned a mileage of 14 KMPL for the entire journey. My suggestion is that if you are starting from Tirupati in the late morning or early noon, you can take the Kadapa route.
