Snake Sightings Trigger Panic in Kurnool Urdu School

Kurnool: Repeated snake sightings have created panic at the Government Urdu Primary School in Kurnool, forcing staff and students to remain on high alert. The fear escalated after a snake slipped into a student’s school bag two months ago. Since then, snakes have been repeatedly appearing on the premises.

Another snake was spotted last Friday, prompting officials to call snake catchers. On Sunday, two cobras were rescued from the campus, following which the entire ground floor was evacuated and classes shifted to the first floor as a safety measure.

Kurnool Urban MEO B.M. Abdul Rahman visited the school on Tuesday and urged municipal officials to clean the surroundings immediately. Snake catchers warned that more snakes may be hiding on the campus. Teachers and students requested the authorities to conduct regular sanitation drives, to which the officials assured prompt action.
