The all-new Mahindra XEV 9S 7-seater electric SUV is finally here! This three-row EV is being offered in six variants – Pack 1, Pack 1 Above, Pack 2, Pack 2 Above, Pack 3 and Pack 3 Above – priced between Rs 19.95 lakh – Rs 29.45 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Customers can take a test drive starting 5th January, 2026. Official bookings will be commenced from 14th January, and deliveries are scheduled to begin form 23rd January, 2026.

First thing first – the powertrain. The entry-level Pack One trim is available with 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options, delivering a claimed range of 521km and 679km, respectively. Both these variants come with an RWD (rear-wheel drive) system.
The Pack Two Above is being offered with 70kWh and 79kWh battery packs, promising a range of 600km and 679km, respectively. The Pack Three with a 79kWh battery and Pack Three Above, both equipped with a 79kWh battery pack, also deliver a claimed driving range of 679km per charge. The real-world range of the XEV 9S is claimed to be 500km (with AC on) on a full charge.
The 7.2kW and 11.2kW chargers are available at an additional cost of Rs 50,000 and Rs 75,000, respectively. Interestingly, the XEV 9S is said to be the fastest 7-seater SUV, achieving 0 to 100kmph in 7 seconds. Its 59kWh battery packed variants does the same in 7.7 seconds. The EV is capable of attainting a top speed of 202kmph.

The new Mahindra 7-seater electric SUV measures 4737mm in length, 1900mm in width and 1747mm in height with a wheelbase of 2762mm. The EV offers a ground clearance of 201mm (219mm at battery). It provides a best-in-segment boot space of 500-litres and a frunk volume of 150-litres. Buyers can choose from six colour options – Everest White, Desert Myst, Stealth Black, Midnight Black, Ruby Velvet and Nebula Black.
