BHPian RennSport recently shared this with other enthusiasts: The E-Class, especially from the rear seat, was absolutely luxurious. I was genuinely at a loss for words. It was my first time sitting in the back of an E-Class, and oh boy-I was impressed. The quality inside the cabin radiated a premium feel from every nook and corner. Everything you touched or looked at felt special. Now, coming to the X7, BMW has brilliantly justified its “Ultimate Driving Pleasure” tag, even in an SUV weighing over 2.5 tons, with a diesel engine. In Comfort mode itself, the pull it offered with just a tap of the accelerator surprised me. Switch to Sport mode, and it genuinely feels like a dream come true. I also got a chance to experience the interiors of the GLE 450d, and I was blown away by the quality of materials inside. Even the switches are crafted from solid metal-everything exudes a sense of solid, engineered luxury. So, regarding the aspirational value… Both my father and I were absolutely impressed by these machines. Someday, we would love to own a GLE. For most Indian buyers, cars priced below 50 lakh offer excellent features, tech, comfort, and even driving pleasure. But the aspirational value that a Mercedes-Benz holds is something else entirely. It’s not just a car-it’s a statement, an emotion, a symbol of having “made it.”Yes, you can buy multiple cars for the price of one German luxury vehicle. But when you finally bring home the Silver Star, it represents far more than just metal and machinery. To many, it is a milestone. A dream fulfilled. An achievement. So yes-luxury cars are still very much aspirational. Perhaps now more than ever. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
