The third generation Honda Amaze has got 5 stars in the Bharat NCAP assessment test. This sub-compact sedan has got 5 stars in adult occupant and 4 stars in child occupant protection. This rating applies to all variants: V, VX and ZX, in both MT and CVT variants.
Honda Amaze: Adult Passenger Safety
In the adult passenger segment, Amaze got an overall score of 28.33 out of 32. It scored 14.33 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 14 points in the side movable deformable barrier test. In the frontal test, the report shows that the head and neck are well protected, while the chest, knees and lower legs also offer a fair level of protection, and some areas perform better than others.
In side-impact tests, the head and lower body show strong protection, although the chest area performs less effectively than other areas. A separate side-pole test also shows that the passenger is generally well protected.
Honda Amaze: Child Passenger Safety
In the child occupant protection test, Amaze scored 40.81 out of 49. This total score includes dynamic crash performance, child-seat installation score and available child-safety equipment in the vehicle. For the impact test, Bharat NCAP used the child seat for both an 18-month-old child and a 3-year-old child. Both the seats were installed at the rear with the help of Isofix anchorage and a support leg.

In dynamic testing, the younger child scored a maximum of 7.81 out of 8 in frontal collision and a maximum of 4 out of 4 in rear collision, while the older child scored full marks in both the situations. Full marks were also obtained in the child-seat installation evaluation.
Honda Amaze: Standard Safety Features
Standard safety equipment on the Amaze includes six airbags, front pretensioner seatbelts with load limiter, three-point seatbelts for all 5 passengers and head restraints for both rows. The car also includes rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, brake assist, brake-override system and vehicle stability assist with traction and stability control functions. Hill-start assist and emergency stop signal are also part of the standard package.
