Harshaali Malhotra, who captured nationwide hearts as the little girl in Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan a decade ago, is now a 17-year-old stepping into a new phase of her acting journey. She has made her Telugu cinema debut with “Akhanda 2,” playing a significant role in the film. Ahead of the movie’s release on December 5, 2025, Harshaali interacted with the media and spoke about her experience, her character, and her future career plans.
Harshaali portrays Janani, a girl whose life is saved by Akhanda.
“After Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I received many offers, but I waited for the right role. Akhanda 2 came at the perfect time. Acting alongside the legendary Nandamuri Balakrishna garu in just my second film is a huge honor and an unforgettable experience,” she shared.
Impressed by Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu
Although not a Telugu native, Harshaali says she has been watching Balakrishna’s films for years. “I’ve seen films like Bhagavanth Kesari, Veera Simha Reddy, Daku Maharaj, Akhanda, and many others. Akhanda was especially amazing. Boyapati Srinu garu’s direction is incredible,” she said with excitement.
Favorite Telugu stars
Harshaali also revealed her top favorites among current Telugu heroes. “Besides Balakrishna garu, Allu Arjun and Prabhas are my favorite heroes in Telugu,” she said with a smile.
Aiming to become a lead actress
The teen actress has big dreams and wants to explore lead roles soon.
“I want to become a heroine. I especially dream of working in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films. The way he presents heroines is magical. I hope to play lead roles in strong combinations in the future,” Harshaali said confidently.
