It is now officially confirmed that four Telugu movies have locked their slots for the Sankranthi 2026 festival. Interestingly, all four films have already begun promotions through music events. Until last week there was confusion about which film would make it to the festival and which one would drop out. But now, with all four releasing their first songs this week, the Sankranthi 2026 lineup stands confirmed.
Sankranthi 2026 movies seal dates
Prabhas starrer “The Raja Saab” arrives in theaters first. The film is slated for a January 9, 2026 release and its first song “The Rebel Saab” came out recently. The makers have already unveiled the teaser and trailer, so the next phase of promotions will involve more songs and public events. The Sankranthi 2026 season will begin with Prabhas this time.
Megastar Chiranjeevi was the first to confirm a Sankranthi release for his film “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.” The team began promotions long back and the first single “Meesala Pilla” has been trending on music charts for several weeks. The second single is now ready for launch. Shooting is also nearing completion. The latest update suggests that the team is planning to lock January 12, 2026 as the release date.
Ravi Teja starrer “Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi” is the latest entrant. With his career going through a rough phase due to multiple flops, Ravi Teja is keen on securing a Sankranthi release. The team recently released the teaser and the first song “Bella Bella” will be out on December 1. The promo for the song has already been unveiled. Directed by Kishore Tirumala, this family entertainer is targeting either January 13 or 14 for release.
After many doubts and speculations, the makers of Naveen Polishetty’s “Anaganaga Oka Raju” have confirmed their release date as January 14, 2026. The first song Bheemavaram Balma was launched recently, which has dispelled all rumors about a delay. The film’s comic tone is an ideal fit for the Sankranthi festive period.
All set for release
In total, the four Telugu films The Raja Saab, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi and Anaganaga Oka Raju are all aiming for family audiences. With entertainment-driven content and early promotional activity, the Sankranthi 2026 race is now officially underway.
