Kia has finally given us the first official glimpse of the second-generation Seltos ahead of its global debut on December 10. The SUV has already been spotted testing here and abroad a number of times, but the first set of teaser images is the clearest look yet at just how much the Seltos is changing for its next-generation phase.

It is clear from the images that Kia is moving its design towards its global design language, and the new generation model appears to borrow a few elements from the brand’s flagship Telluride SUV. The front features a wide “Tiger Face” grille with chrome surround, flanked by tall vertical DRLs.

The profile also looks equally fresh. The teaser shows blackened pillars, new flush-fitting door handles, new alloy wheel design and a twist in the window line at the rear. At the rear, the Seltos gets a full-width LED light bar which is somewhat similar to the Kia Carenza Clavis. There is also a roof spoiler and a thick silver skid plate.

Talking about engine specifications, the next generation Seltos will be available in both petrol and diesel options in the Indian market. However, one major change is likely to be the hybrid powertrain, which is expected to be a part of its global debut.
Kia will reveal the new Seltos globally on December 10, with the India launch likely to take place in early 2026. Once it is launched in India, it will go up against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Tata Sierra, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Victories and Grand Vitara and others in the segment.
