Only ‘The Raja Saab’ yet to close OTT deal

The Raja Saabstarring Prabhas, is gearing up for a grand Sankranthi 2026 release. Surprisingly, the film is yet to close its OTT deal even though the theatrical release is just about 40 days away.

All other Sankranthi releases have already wrapped their digital agreements. Chiranjeevi’s “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad” and Ravi Teja’s “Bhartha Mahasayulaku Vignyapthi” have both been acquired by Zee Group for satellite and OTT. Netflix has secured the digital rights for Naveen Polishetty’s “Anaganga Oka Raju.”

However, Prabhas’s “The Raja Saab” still hasn’t finalized either its OTT or satellite deal. The delay is due to a financial issue: a North Indian financier is insisting that his dues be cleared before any non-theatrical agreements are signed. Without NOC (No Objection Certificate) confirming financial clearance, OTT platforms are unwilling to proceed.

Despite this, the makers can go ahead with the theatrical release since the financier’s concerns are tied only to non-theatrical revenues.

“The Raja Saab” is directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory. The film features Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Nidhhi Agerwal as the leading ladies, with music composed by Thaman.
