Vietnamese EV maker VinFast is set to enter the electric 2-wheeler segment next year. Having launched the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India earlier this year, the company is now said to be planning to roll out its first 2-wheelers in Q2 of FY2026. “We believe that the Indian market has huge potential for electric two-wheelers. We have a plan to launch two-wheelers in India in 2026,” VinFast Asia Chief Executive Officer Pham Sanh Chau said. “We are in the process of collecting inputs and feedback to launch our two-wheelers in India.Many of the current dealers have expressed their keen interest in becoming a dealer for two-wheelers,” he said. VinFast sells electric scooters like the Evo, Feliz, Klara and Vero in the South Asian market. A couple of models from its global lineup are expected to be offered in India. As per reports, VinFast is also planning to introduce its electric buses in India. While the e-scooter will be manufactured locally, the e-buses could be brought in via the CKD or CBU routes.
