BHPian dkaile recently shared this with other enthusiasts:CPMC/Aoocci BMW B6 Motorcycle GPS Navigation System – 25-11-2024I had received a Z55 Pro- from CPMC (Aoocci) – Wireless Android Auto / CarPlay for Motorcycles system, which I had posted a detailed report here – https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motor…torcycles.html . In continuation to that these Aoocci/CPMC guys further sent me this review unit specifically made for BMW motorcycles. Again, I clearly told them that I will only post opinion which I feel is true and if there are cons to the product those will be highlighted too. They were quite agreeable, as before, and wanted only a fair review. This again is a replacement for the BMW system by Chigee or the OE Navigator 6, which costs more than double of this unit. The product homepage is here – https://carplaymotorcycle.com/produc…gps-navigation OVERVIEW – So I received this package – The inside packaging with BMW highlighted as this is fully compatible with BMWCanbus and the BMW Wonder Wheel and is in fact detected as a Navigation Unit when plugged in. Fantastic! There are 2 models, the B6 and B7, and the only difference is the screen size of 6 or 7 inches. I opted for the more compact (and majorly selling) B6. These are all the features of this product. The special highlight of this product is that it is powered by the BMW Navigation Mount and NO EXTRA CABLING is needed. It also had – – Wireless Android Auto and CarPlay- It had a fantastic build quality, though in plastic but better than the C6 Pro. – It’s screen was 6″, so size was similar to the C6 Pro, but slightly bigger than the ultra costly Chigee product – 5.5″ (50k). – It’s brightness was supposedly 800 nits but it seemed slightly brighter than the C6 and this had a 60Hz IPS HD display. – The main highlight of this product that it was just plug and play and lockable and removable with the OE GPS Mount on the bike. – Fully Compatible with BMW Canbus and does NOT need a separate TPMS for our bikes as it is compatible with the inbuilt TPMS on the BMWs and displays Tyre Pressure information from the BMW Canbus as well as Lean Angle and many other information. – IP67 waterproof – Dual Band Wifi and Bluetooth – Cortex A7 processor Some of itsfeatures highlighted on the packaging – The top had a nice motorcycle logo, same as the Z55, highlighting it’s use case scenario – I was expecting lots of accessories inside, but NOTHING! As nothing is actually needed, only the main unit and a small screwdriver for the USB C and Micro SD card slot and a simple user’s manual – The Main Unit – Front – And the Back with OE GPS Mount compatible connections – Information in the manual about the BMW Protocol compatibility – And how to control the Unit with the BMW Wonder Wheel! Fantastic – As I had removed the OE GPS Mount to attach the C6 Pro, it was Bench Tested with the same. Just clicks and locks into place – The Original Connection on the bike was again brought out. Notice the Denali Interface in between, as detailed in my previous posts – And the unit was again Bench Tested on the bike and canbus information started streaming in – The Android Auto Screen, notice the C6 Pro also, still, attached to the bike in the background – The Unit was finally attached to the bike after refitting the OE Navigation Cradle (a 10 minute job). Side View with the lock visible for complete security, same as the OE Navigator 6 – And a side View from the other side. Also notice the inbuilt, slight HOOD on the unit, for sun glare protection – How could I miss not measuring the exact screen size – 6″ – and a much more OE look now, same as with Navigator 6 – Night View of the Home Screen. Notice the “Nav Detected” message flashing on the screen below, same as a OE Nav System – And once it connects, notice the BMW Nav Connected logo on the top left of both the screens – Night View of the Android Auto Screen. The display brightness is fully/auto adjustable – Went for a short ride to test it out and immediately Tyre Pressure Data started showing on the screen, from the original canbus. Also Notice the Compass in between. The 4 buttons at the bottom of the screen – the 1st one is to switch to Android Auto/Apple Carplay, 2nd for Screen Brightness, 3rd for BMW Canbus Data Screens x 3 and 4th for Settings – Day View of the Android Auto Screen – BMW Data Screen no. 1, shows both front and Rear Tyre Pressure, Speed, RPM, Fuel Status (Green), Range, Engine Temperature, Lean Angle (Wow!), Air Temperature, Battery Voltage etc. BMW Data Screen no. 2, adds Average Speed, Odometer reading, Service Due Date, Service due kms etc. – BMW Data Screen no. 3, shows TPMS settings and warnings – Saying goodbye with the Home Screen – And they offered a discount of 30% on the price to all TeamBhpians, on all their products on their website, by coupon code – “TeamBhp30” . DISCLAIMER – Kindly buy or use this product at your own discretion. I will highlight points, only that I feel true. And I have NO ECONOMIC INTEREST in the same Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
