Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will oppose the Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation Policy (HILTP). It has formed eight fact-finding committees for field reports. Working president KT Rama Rao held a teleconference with party leaders, former ministers MLAs and MLCs for guidance on field visits.Committee members will visit industrial areas on Dec 3 and 4. Cluster 1 will be visited by former minister T Harish Rao’s team and other members, including Gangula Kamalakar, Deshapati Srinivas, and Medak MLAs, will visit Patancheru, Ramachandrapuram and Pashamylaram areas. In Cluster 2 ex-minister G Jagadish Reddy, Bandari Laxmareddy, Surabhi Vani Devi and Uppal leaders will visit Nacharam, Mallapur, Uppal and Cherlapally. In Cluster 3 Madhusudhanachari, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy and Ravinder Rao will visit Moula Ali and Kushaiguda industrial areas. KTR himself, along with Satyavathi Rathod, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Madhavaram Krishna Rao and KP Vivekanand, will visit Jeedimetla and Kukatpally areas. In Cluster 5 Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Kale Yadaiah, Mutha Gopal and Naveen Rao will inspect Sanath Nagar and Balanagar. In Cluster 6 Chamakura Malla Reddy and Shambhipur Raju will go to Medchal Industrial Park. Cluster 7 will be headed by ex-minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy, Swamy Goud, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy and Karthik Reddy, who will visit Katedan and Hayathnagar. Finally, in Cluster 8 ex-minister Mahmood Ali, Dasoju Sravan and MD Saleem will examine conditions at Chandulal Baradari industrial area.KTR alleged that lands allocated by the previous govt at very low prices for industrial development and employment creation were now being converted into real estate under the guise of ‘Multi-Use Zone.’ He said around 9,300 acres are being regularised at just 30% govt rate, much below market value, as a conspiracy to misappropriate Rs 5-lakh-crore public wealth.The teams will engage with local leaders and the public to highlight the significant price difference between actual market value and govt-set price (‘Price Discovery’). Party leaders will gather info on public utility programmes that can be initiated through these industrial areas and will also hear local residents’ demands. They will tell people how people once gave lands for industrial development and how the govt allocated them cheaply to industrialists.
