Poor RTO experience during re-registering my 20 year old Toyota Innova

Poor RTO experience during re-registering my 20 year old Toyota Innova BHPian parsh recently shared this with other enthusiasts:Toyota Innova Re-Registration At Wadala RTOFinally, with the 20 years Renewal Done today of my beloved Green Innova… I am really wondering How many really did step into that place called Wadala RTO and Do you Really Feel Like Stepping in there and Doing anything at all at such a sad place ? I wish it was such a hunky dory story here at Wadala RTO. All was hunky dory with the decently nice Parivahan India-wide website. I was able to generate application seamlessly, pay Rs 3500 Green Tax, pay the Rs 11058 total RC Renewal fees. 5 years back it was such a bliss to do the RC renewal at Worli RTO. Unfortunately, that MH03 RTO is now fully shifted to Wadala. However, as soon as I stepped into the mess that is RTO Wadala all things just became repulsive. First comes the pain of finding a spot to park the car amongst the filth that is all around and lack of space inspite of such a humongous place that it is. Second comes the building itself and running around up and down the floors from window to window with no clear guides and directions posted noticeable to a novice. Fortunately, inspite of landing there at 2:30 PM, the process could be completed by 5 PM with the inspectors also having had the help of a nice Maharashtrian agent found there. I wouldn’t suggest anybody stepping in there, instead get work done through an agent at reasonable cost. The process itself, if could be done nicely without any bumps in the process by self with proper guidelines/directions put up, would be pretty easy, as it was in atleast Worli RTO even though half manual 5 years back. But I come out extremely disappointed and more of disgusted at Wadala RTO. Small part of Google Map if you do wish to go in there and do stuff or even take your vehicle for inspection. From the starting itself, find a good place to park on the road indicated below by BLUE BOX where the vehicle inspection actually happens, or somewhere near-about, so you can bring vehicle fast when the inspector comes for inspection or vehicle chassis print is to be taken for form. If you are not able to take chassis print self, some people there can help with a paltry sum of Rs 50-100. That’s how she looks as she went into 20 years, 2nd passing as of 15 October 2025 today. Worth every paisa of the Rs 10,000 RTO is minting from genuine vehicle owners for pristine vehicles. Check outBHPian commentsfor more insights and information.
