The official residence of the Telangana Governor will no longer be called Raj Bhavan and will instead be known as Lok Bhavan. The change, announced through an official communique by the Governor’s press secretary on Tuesday (December 2, 2025), has come into immediate effect for all references, records, and government purposes. According to the statement, the renaming is intended to reflect the strength and vibrancy of India’s democratic values, with the government noting that the shift aligns with the broader national aspiration of progressing towards a Viksit Bharat.
